Tires - Saved 130 dollars on 1 tire

Ok, so just a side blog here about tires.

My tire was down to no tread. I was driving back from the campus and the tire actually split. So, I needed a new tire. The tire on the other side was also 0 tread. Now I was in a pickle. I called around and found out that the tires were 165 dollars. Whoa.

So, instead, I called around about used tires. I found one for the SUV for only 35 dollars. I had the tread checked and actually this tire had the same tread as the new spare. It also had more tread than the front 2 tires. For 35 bucks.

Search the tire places if you are short on cash and low on tread. They mounted it and put it on the SUV free too.

Frys September 16-22 - Free Easy Mac and Velveeta Shells/Cheese boxes

Wow. Has it been that long?

Well, this week at Frys... free Easy Mac and Velveeta Shells and Cheese.

Yes. There are Velveeta and Deluxe Mac boxes with .55 coupons on them. Since these are .99 a box after 10 items... well... do the math.

Today we got a -.10 on our orders in San Tan Valley. No Tax in Pinal County. Down the street in Gilbert, there was .08 tax. So there was only a .02 profit.

There are several tearpad and other coupons out there so there are many ways to do this deal.

  • .55 off 2 Easy Mac
  • Buy 2 Easy Mac get 1 free
  • $1 off 5 Easy Mac
  • .55 off a box of Deluxe or Velveeta
  • BOGO Easy Mac

The best deal would be to have 5 BOGO and then you get them all free, no hassle.
Because it is a coupon, the machine will count the free one towards the 10 item purchase (this worked at 3 stores in the Valley. So, pretty much confirmed. )

Now, if you have Buy 2 EM get 1
There is no limit on the Buy something get something free... I confirmed with 2 stores.

So, Buy 6 EM get 3 free. The price they put on the Free one is the List price .99. Of course, after the $5 off when you buy 10 items, the purchase price comes down to .49! However, on the coupon, they put .99. Yes. Do you see where this is going?

Buy 6 EM get 3 Free.
Buy 1 Box Deluxe with .55 off coupon (doubles so it's free)

That is 10 items.
9EM = about 9 dollars
1 box deluxe or velveeta = about 1.50

10.50 - cost but....

(3) Buy 2 Get 1 Coupons = about 3 dollars

10.50 -3 = 7.50

(1) Coupon .55 doubled = 1.00

Final cost 6. 50. But wait... not so fast....

6.50 - 5.00 = $1.50 for all 10 items or .15 each.

Final Cost = 1.50 or .15 each
So, that seems a bit pricey.

Do you have any .55 off 2 EM?

6 Easy Mac = about $6
4 Boxes = about $6

12 dollars. I think NOT! Do you know what I can get with $12!

Use a. (3) .55 off 2 EM = -3.00
Use b. (4) .55 off Deluxe or Velvetta Shells Box = -4.00

12-7= 5

Oh, you say, the Frys machine only doubles to 3 coupons. Guess again. These .55 off Shells and cheese, doubles at least 4.

Cost is 5 dollars.

But wait, you get $5 off for getting the 10 items.

Final Cost = -.10 to .35 for all 10

3.5 cents each at the most in Pinal County. About 4.5 cents in cities that tax.

So, if you shop in Pinal county... you get .10 back because the items are .99 and 1.49 respectively. 10 items. 10 cents.

Now, say the cashier won't double the 4th one, even though the machine automatically does it.
Your cost is .35 for all 10.

That is 3.5 cents per item, if the cashier does not double the 4th one and -.10 if the cashier leaves the machine scan alone.

WHERE ARE THESE COUPONS?

Ok, so where do I get these coupons, you may ask. You know that's the real question here. It's not how to use these coupons. Anyone can figure that out. How do you get these coupons!

There are .55 off Velveeta or Deluxe boxes on the box.

However, some Frys may be out of these. Or some Frys may never have carried these. But Albertsons does. And Albertsons has a deal where if you purchase 2 boxes of Velveeta Shells and Cheese, you get $1 back. These are more pricey and Albies doesn't double.

The $1 off of 5 EM coupon is at frys in the Kraft Display area as a tear pad. Look for this.

The $.55 off of 2 was a tearpad item about a month ago.
The Buy 2 get 1 was also a tearpad about a month ago.

There are some boxes of Velveeta that have coupons in the box.

Coupons are somewhat like stocks. You have to know when to use them ... and when not to use them. Now, the item is free. USE them!!!

You can find some of these items on eBay. However, no guarantee there will be any supply left in Stock by the time you receive them. Oh wait....

Rain CHECK Please.

Sometimes, if there is a good deal and the Coupon Sensers raid the store. I get a rain check. And then... I search for the coupon.

--- NOTE ---

Sometimes I do not post deals because I worry about Coupon Sensers and their senseless raids. For example:

Last week, Klondike bars were 1.88.
1.88 you say. That's too much!

There were printables for $1 off one.

.88 each.
Well, that's a little better.

Oh, hold on... there was an ecoupon at Unilever for $1 off 2. This works with the printable. Yes it did... several times.

That makes them... hmmm

.38 a box.

Now, do you think that if the Coupon Sensers could figure that one out, they wouldn't have wiped out the shelves leaving all ice creamless people in tears.

Yeah, I keep some deals to myself.
I decided to raid first and then inform.

I felt a little bad about the Klondike bars... but I did get enough for my family.

This week, I am informing you of the Easy Mac because:

1. I already have over 100 cups and about 40 boxes free.
Go for it. Have a blast. Just get to the store before these Coupon Sensers do.

Haha Coupon Sensers... Got you again.
